Parliament will resume Feb. 2 and the Throne Speech will be delivered at 3 p.m. that day, Prime Minister Paul Martin announced Wednesday.
The Throne Speech will outline his government's priorities for this year.
While he admitted that the federal government is "cash constrained" and is reviewing department spending, he said the Liberals intend to carry through with an "ambitious agenda" that includes certain priorities, such as health care.
A number of bills from the previous government will be reintroduced, he told reporters in Ottawa after a Liberal caucus meeting.
More to come.
