Indian software giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will provide information technology and engineering services to world champions Ferrari for the 2005 Formula One season.
Teams of TCS engineers will work on the development of the Italian Scuderia racing car and also provide solutions to the Ferrari sports car.
"The F1 car is the most complex and advanced car platform in the market, packing research in aerodynamics, engine technology, brakes, tyres and modeling to name just a few," said TCS managing director S. Ramadorai. "This collaboration is a tribute to our work, to the solutions we provide and to our engineers who strive ceaselessly to make this company what it is today."
"We only work with excellent companies because that is what makes Ferrari what it is today," Jean Todt, Ferrari's managing director, said in a statement.
"TCS has what it takes to help us retain our pole position." AFP
