Great gift for a Ford fan

Here's a suggestion that makes an ideal Christmas present for any Ford fans in your family.
The parent Ford Motor Company was less than a year old when its first international step saw the creation of the Ford Motor Co. of Canada Limited in Windsor, Ontario.
The rest, as they say, is history. And now it's Ford Canada's turn to party with its centennial celebrations slated for 2004.
It has marked the occasion, in part, with a book chronicling its history. Ford and Canada: 100 Years Together, by Montreal historian James C. Mays, is a chronological re-telling of the auto manufacturer's story in Canada through times of war and peace, prosperity and need.
In many ways, this soft cover book merely sets the stage for the next century. Mays chose to tell the company's history not as a continuous story, but as a series of brief notations, many illustrated with black and white photographs culled from Ford of Canada's own extensive archives. Ford of Canada's contribution to its parent company's global operations has been extensive. One entry nugget in particular underlines this notion, dated April 17, 1964: "The Mustang is introduced. Canadian president Karl Scott notes that while the cars are built in the U.S., their engines, drivetrains and other components are made in Windsor."
Published by Syam Publishing, Montreal. $15.00 through participating Ford-Lincoln dealerships across Canada or by calling 1-800-665-2665.
